The Connecticut travellers organized another great sporting clays tournament with 134 shooters in attendance, including La Roue du Roy (Hemmingford, Quebec) members Pierre Dubois, Martin Blanchette, and Henry Nachaj. Canadian shooters did well, finishing in the top 10 percent, with Henry Nachaj's 82 scoring in the top 10. Jean Du Lau (ex French National team shooter), who shot with his Full and Extra-Full Beretta , shot a 94. Kevin Goodspeed, shot an 81 with a handicap (28 ga 10 targets + pump 5 targets) of+15 targets, to give him a 96 and HOA.
The shooter who travelled the farthest was Georgia Social Club member and US Army Markmen Unit member, John Paxton who shot a 94. The course was very well laid out with the targets being close, except for 2 stations. Very technical targets. Approximately 65 degrees and sunny. Lots of mud, WOW! Afterwards, a very good hot lunch was provided.
