Kingston District Skeet & Trap Club

Ducks Unlimited - NSSA Skeet - May 30/June 1, 2003

The weather was a factor for the shoot.  Nice weather held until the last squads went out on Saturday, then the rain and wind moved in, along with dropping temperatures.  Sunday morning squads did not see rain, but had to contend with very cool temperatures and a strong 30+ knot wind.  By time the .410 squads went out the skies had cleared and it had warmed up a bit, but the wind was still bouncing the birds around, but not as noticeable as during the morning flights.  It was very cold for this time of the year and those who brought along their winter shooting gear made a wise decison.

The club volunteers did a great job pulling targets and filling the houses, and the guys running the kitchen did a super job.   I shot five guns and saw very few no birds due to broken birds.  As advertised the club is located only five minutes from major motels and eating establishments.   A casino is located only 20 minutes from the club and on Friday evening some of us visited the casino and contributed to the Canadian economy.
